Art for the Climate Contest - 2024
THEME: Your Fun Flight-free Vacation
Why:
Flying less is one of the most effective things individuals can do to stop climate change. Airplanes burn a LOT of fuel; a round trip flight from Oakland, CA to Hawaii burns enough CO2 to melt 45 square feet of Arctic sea ice. That only increases if you fly first class.
Submit your entry to https://forms.gle/bSoCTHnsRbLLrWn59 by August 15, 2024, deadline. Prizes will be gift cards of $25-$50. Some of these gift certificates will be from the attractions in your essays and art. (e.g. zoos, ice cream shops, kayak rentals, restaurants, movie theaters, book stores, science museums, etc.)
